Organization Profile
Moringa Community is a private non-profit organization founded in March 2008 by Jeffry & Linda Lohr of Pennsylvania, USA and Abubakar Abdulai of Cape Coast, Ghana. In just 23 months time we have already developed practical woodworking and food preservation technologies, secured the support of a chief in Ghana that deeded land to Moringa for our school, we have completed building a training center and even a bridge to access our 9+ acre compound This is only made possible by the passionate people in both the US and Ghana who are making the Moringa Community dream a reality.
All of our board members and volunteers in the United States are unpaid.
It is amazing what a few dedicated people with very limited resources can create when they have vision! Currently, our US organization focuses on training programs and fund raising, while our Ghana counterpart is focused on implementing our programs in the field.
